Service Level Warranty and Uptime Guarantee. Hosting Begins endeavour to ensure that as far as is reasonably practicable, connectivity is maintained between our servers and the internet backbone. Customers are advised that we use servers situated outside of the United Kingdom to ensure we get best value for our customers (bandwidth costs etc) and as a result of this, we rely heavily on the connectivity provision of third parties. 99.9% uptime guarantee Servers can be down for a few minutes periodically due to software and security upgrades etc - this benefits both Hosting Begins and our Customers by ensuring our environment is up to date and as secure as possible.
Approximately once per month, Hosting Begins will reboot all of its servers regardless of whether the servers have been running faultlessly or not. This is not something done by other hosts as a matter of routine but we recognise, much like you using a personal computer, there are benefits to be gained by rebooting - this ensures our servers run optimally with no long term degradation due to memory caching etc. Where outages or downtime occur which were within our control, Hosting Begins will refund the Customer bandwidth costs on a pro-rata basis. Refunds must be applied for using the support ticket system.
Restrictions
Credits will not be provided to Customer in the event that you have any outage resulting from:
1. Third party services
2. Failure of your equipment or applications
3. Scheduled server and network maintenance
4. Off-network Internet traffic
5. DNS Propagation
6. Domain registration or transfer failure
7. Failure to comply with Hosting Begins AUP and Terms of Conditions
8. Third party software or scripts
9. Circumstances beyond Providers control including, but not limited to, acts of nature, terrorism, fire, flood, sabotage, strike, acts of any governmental body and war.

We are so confident you will be happy with our web hosting services that we offer a 16 day money back guarantee.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, and we are unable to put things right to your satisfaction, we will refund all web hosting charges paid by you (less 10% to cover credit card processing and setup charges).
To claim on this guarantee you must notify us of your wish to cancel an account within the first 16 days following activation. Please submit a support ticket to sales. In the event you have more than one account you must submit a ticket for each account you have with us.
There are only a few exclusions:
There must have been a technical problem of some sort that can not be resolved by us with the account which is recorded in our helpdesk, You must at least carrie out any instrustions provided by support that can resolve the problem.
we will not issue a refund just because you have found a cheaper offer.
Because Domain name registration fees are passed on by us to the registration authorities we cannot refund these.
We reserve the right to pass on any excess bandwidth charges, incurred by you in the first 16 days (we have never had to do this, but we have to put this clause in to protect ourselves against deliberate abuse).
Dedicated IP addresses and account addons are not covered due to the amount of work required to set them up.
If your account has been cancelled due to a breach of our Terms of Service or AUP, you will not be eligible for a refund.
If you download the Icon pack we will be unable to offer any refund as the icon pack has a value of over £100.
We are unable to offer the 16 days money back guarantee on any Multi Host package, this is due to the time and cost of setting up these accounts.
Refunds will be made within 16 days of receipt of your ticket. Refunds will be credit back the same way you paid.
